I wholeheartedly agree with Cllr Prince on that one. The height of the bridge is clearly marked (both metric and imperial, no excuse). The driver should have stopped to check and not closed his eyes and hoped for the best. His honest excuse is pathetic. Goodness knows what type of personality test should be applied to people before allowing them to drive! annesevant
A pathetic excuse from the driver, worthy of suspension of his licence at the very least. The word would soon get around the lorry driving fraternity if the police were to prosecute for driving without due care and attention.Perhaps the London Assembly Member for Havering & Redbridge would take note and press the matter of this bridge SERIOUSLY, CONSISTENTLY, AND HARD with TfL who are far too complacent about it.
