North East London Health Consultation

As Redbridge-i removed the new forum discussion I saw earlier I shall give you the link to the NHS consultation page. When you get to the page scroll down and at the bottom you will see both an on line questionnaire and the full consultation document for download. Here's the link:

  1. Oi, Mark.
It was not "Redbridge Eye" that removed it, it was "Redbridge-i".
I have corrected your "unfortunate" mistake :)

  2. A farce, isn't it? They - and they alone - now decide what topics go on the forum. They post one, and then they are so obsessed with censorship that they remove it!!! Utterly absurd - and possibly down to one obnoxious little pipsqueak of an officer.

  4. I have just completed the online questionnaire and it is quite long and complicated but, in addition to the push-button answers, it does give a space for you to explain your choice.

It is clearly slanted towards getting "emergencies" diverted to Whitechapel and Romford but it less clear about what would be left at KGH. The PCT clearly wish to close down one whole facility (6 reduced to 5 - but which are the 6 then?)to save money but have not put up a convincing case as they appear unable to clearly distinguish between "emergency" and "critical" and "urgent". Very subjective, you see!

  5. I agree with you there.
I got half way through the online questionnaire and it crashed on me with an error message so I'll try again this evening.

Yes, apparently KGH A and E is well in deficit by xx millions, 85% of A & E visitors don't require A and E service! They are trying to put up a convincing case. I vote for keeping our A and E local to me because 10 minutes can make all the difference when the situation is critical / urgent / emergency / or whatever!
